Happy Thanksgiving ! | ?

In general at Thanksgiving we're ready for a good laugh, the chance to relax and be with family and friends, to eat, but most of all it's the time together that we remember: watching a game or a parade, the smells while hanging out in the kitchen, the post-dinner clean-up, the late-night snacking.

At the same time Thanksgiving is also about history, the story of sharing or colonization, collaboration or domination depending upon how you look at the founding stories, or what you define as historically accurate or definitive.

Today I read an interesting blog article Can Johnny and Sally Handle the Truth About Thanksgiving? which ask the post-modern revisionist question of how much history do we share and who can handle it. Worth the read this weekend, it also includes a clever video made with (by?) children that poignantly asks the same question.

What do you think?
